Why is there so little Knox in this book and why is he pretty much insufferable except for the last chapter or so with him???? He was so good in ZA. Ryders insane still. Love Leon and Dante after this book. I need to know what Gabriel did to Gareth, and I need to know what happened so badly between Cindy Lou and Gareth. Also I know Nightshade is sus with everything but Titan feels TOO nice idk I don’t trust him.

Continuation of jumping into RB then will probably jumping back into ZA right after that

I still don't have an answer to who killed Gareth. But I have to say, this second book is definitely better than the first one. I found the humour from Little Leonidas pretty entertaining. It's hilarious how he can't do anything on his own and relies on his Mindys all the time.

However, there's one character I'm really not a fan of Gabriel. He's always being an ass and constantly going on about his visions. Seriously, dude, give it a rest! It's super annoying.

Overall, I haven't seen much progress in the storyline yet. The main takeaway from both books so far seems to be sexual tension and s*x. I get that it's a theme, but the male main characters always have their minds in the gutter, and it's a bit too much sometimes.

But hey, I'm still hooked and curious to see where this goes. On to the next one!

I feel like we are no closer to finding out what happened to Gareth lol but I am enjoying all of the romance and the complex/nuanced relationships. Elise knows what she wants and won’t hold herself back.

Are we any closer to figuring out Gareth's murderer? No.
Is this book even steamier than the first? YES.
I love Peckham & Valenti's vivid imagination and worldbuilding, as well as their uncanny sense of humor. It's so refreshing when a fantasy book can have me laughing out loud by myself reading. I also love that I'm learning a lil' Italian thanks to Dante. Usually with RH is that there's always one guy I'm not very wild about, but honestly, I love all four of these guys - I don't blame Elise for not being able to choose. Well, that and I guess one of them did very likely kill her brother. Guess I better go get book 3 to figure out who!
