An absolutely haunting take on Galatea. Gorgeously violent and vindictive, taught with unease, and cathartically healing for survivors (potentially).

Speaking of: survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and/or sexual assault could have PTSD alarms set off. There were parts that deeply nauseated me, but the end is worth it.

The world would be better with less( a whole lot less, none if possible) Andrew Tates and more Madeline Millers. I think that's as close to heaven as we can reach.

Once again Madeline Miller carves out a powerful feminist gem! Are we even surprised?
This was haunting and it was brutal. (*Insert Barbie's feminist speech here*).

That afterword brought tears to my eyes!

I NEED to read Miller's book recommendations.
