This book had much more suspense and danger then the first two. Gwen, Blake's sister has been in love with Neil MacBain, Blake's bodyguard, for some time but he appears impervious. He is in love with her, but feels unworthy. Then a menace from Neil's past comes up and Neil has to use all his skills to keep Gwen safe. I liked the suspense and danger.

Oh the suspense. It was killing me - I had to read in warp speed mode. Who is Raven? What is going on? How could his friends doubt poor Neil? The romance was hot and lovely. I love his series and this group of friends.

Random but this really bugged me - statistically speaking, woman are less safe with a gun, particularly one who has shot a gun twice.

I received this book via goodreads 'first reads' giveaway. I hate to read books out of order, and this is the 3rd book in the series. I went ahead and read it anyways. I must confess, it made me want to go out and buy the first two in the series and any following. Even though I didn't know all the character or their stories I still felt their importance. The couple brought together in this book is Gwen and Neil. Neil is an ex marine turned private security. Gwen is a Duke's sister, who has lived a privileged life. He isn't suppose to fall for Gwen, she is a client and he can't get involved with clients, and has no time for distractions. Not to mention there is a madman out there intent on tormenting Neil and the ones he is suppose to be protecting. We share Gwen and Neil's coming together through lows and a few highs. The privileged princess whom Neil would love nothing more then to lock her in an ivory tower to keep her safe shows she is more then just a vain woman that likes the finer things in life. Neil learns that he is no longer a solo marine and how to overcome his past demons. There is background couple in this book, Karen and Michael, and I do hope in the following books we do get to see how their 'marriage' progressed and 'ends'.

This book was brilliant. The whole mystery side of it had me on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next and who the baddy/baddies were.

Lady Gwen is English and is the sister of Blake from the previous novel. Neil is her bodyguard and works for Blake.

Neil though a firmer marine, totally has the soft side of him pulled out by Gwen in the end and I loved how Gwen didn't go nuts from being out of her comfort zone and made the best of her situation.

Will definitely be waiting for the next book in the series to see who's next in the relationship stakes. I am hoping that it will be Rick! :)

The read started smooth enough. I hadn't read book one or two in this series. I didn't feel lost or that I couldn't follow the storyline until we are introduced to the hero and heroine. I did think that perhaps I needed to read the other books to understand the connection/attraction. I also think that I needed to read the other books so that I could be more accustomed to the writing style.

*I didn't realize it was a book 3 when I requested the read. I just wanted a fun read and I'm sure this would have been one.*

For some reason I dove into the third book instead of the first one?? Eh, just go with it.. like I did.

Fiance by Friday was a pretty interesting book. At least, for me it was because I started off reading the ebook but then I realized it was an audio as well.. and dropped that ebook like a hot potato and started to listen to it. Besides all of that, I feel like I should probably dive into the first two books before the end of the month.. maybe?

Okay, so in this book you will meet Gwen and Neil. However, there are other couples in this as well.. which I can only assume they are from previous books? If not.. then I'm screwed. Back to this couple, well somethings a bit off in their lives. No, not the romance - which was hot as fuck if you ask me. No, it's the random ass dead birds. When the first one showed up.. I was like.. okay I get that birds have some suicide tendencies but this is a bit ridiculous. Then when there was a hint that someone from Neil's past was behind these dead birds.. well, let's just say I was hooked guys.

I LOVE MYSTERIES! I put my little detective hat on and wanted to solve this before they did. Unfortunately for me, I will keep my day job because I suck ass at this crime solving jig. I had no idea it was two people from his past that went bonkers. I felt so bad for Neil realizing all of this betrayal but I was proud of Gwen. She was totally underestimated in the end. I loved her and how she didn't just cry and whine until she was saved - like some kind of princess.

Other that, I'm kind of hooked on this series. I am excited to dive into the first two books AND then diving into the fourth book.

Book three in Weekday Brides Fiancé by Friday by Catherine Bybee audiobook version.
Gwen is Blake's sister and has always had a thing for Neil Blake's head of security.
Neil is ex army and left army because of a badly failed mission were he lost a lot of his men to injury or death.
Everything is working out for him at the moment he's trying to avoid Gwen and protect his friends it's only when Gwen has suspicious thing happen to her that he decides to personally protect her.
I really enjoyed this book more then I though the narrator posh British accent was at time funny but because it was written so well it was funny and entertaining.
With this series you need to have started from beginning because otherwise I think you miss not just really good books by this author but the relationship between the different characters in previous books.
Looking forward to more in series but next one is about Karen and Michael which I'm not sure I'll enjoy as much because I think in this day and age an actor can survive coming out whether there male or female, if the want to keep working hard to achieve their goals of superstardom.
Otherwise are great ending and HEA. Absolutely loved Gwen at the end of this book. Such a good finish to a great book.
