it isn’t advertised as one, but quite a bit of this book is basically a memoir, which wasn’t really what i was looking for/expecting. the other parts of it are good

At a time when I am struggling to balance being a mom, a wife, a teacher, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and everything in between… this book made me feel seen in a way I didn’t realize I so desperately needed. It isn’t a magic spell to fix all that ails American mothers today, it’s a love letter. It’s a well timed “I see you,” in a sea of “look at you, Super Mom!” It sheds light on the unrealistic ask that is American motherhood and offers some suggestions and a glimmer of hope for the future.
