Thought this was gonna be the final book in a series that I’m really only mildly enjoying but it finally gets good and ends on a cliffhanger?? I am mad. Will I read the next one? Yes.

I know this is book 3 (kinda book 6), but there needed to be trigger warnings…. I hated some of the POVs and how it was written for shock factor. You can write from a character’s perspective without being overly graphic, especially when it comes to a rapist. She has written about these gods before without it getting too much. And this book seriously was just pretty much copy and pasted from “A Touch of Malice”. I really enjoyed the first two books because we got to see Hades and where he goes and does with certain scenes from Persephone’s books seeing from his POV. And I thought it was done really well! But this one? Twas literally almost every scene between the two of them and it was ridiculously overdone. I basically re-read ATOM….

Okay but...how will there be a happy ending in Chaos. Scarlett said she only writes happy endings and I am going to trust her process....but EVERYTHING is stacked against H&P... I can't think of one thing that is in their favor.

But the book was good.

Although when I reread this, I will be skipping EVERY Theseus POV. There are only 3 but that is 3 too many. That man is disgusting and a proud rapist. I literally felt sexually threatened just reading his POV.

This was not a super great read. I really enjoy this series (let’s be honest, I enjoy the smut) but this was just a “his view” of the last “A Touch” book. The sections with Dionysus was tolerable since there’s a spin-off series, but the antagonist point of view was just awful. There was no depth to why he was depraved so it felt like we were in a rapist’s head just for shock value and it was really icky to read about how he was going to use or break certain women. The book really could’ve done without it.

I thought this would take me forever to read but I FLEW through it. I loved the inclusion of Dionysus and Ariadne’s story and I hope to see more of them in the next book and with their own stand alone. I’m very nervous for the next book. I knew what would happen in this one since the one before was Persephone’s POV and this one was the same story but Hades’s POV, but it contained so much more new info. The two of them are sooooo horny all the time but good for them. I love how the author subtly and effortlessly incorporates references to other Greek myth stories and characters. Now time for A Touch of Chaos which comes out TOMORROW!!!!
