Rain, sun, or snow I sit in my car and listen to these audio books, and they are always so wholesome and comforting. Don't know what I will do when I finish them off next year.

I really love the first book and hearing about all the quirky characters that lived in the English countryside. The only reason I like this book less was because I felt like there were a lot of stories about animal misfortune that were hard for me to stomach.

I love James Herriot! For an animal lover like me, he makes me want to be a vet and visit England. Lovely read.
