Such a sweet book about a family story and adults acting like adults with a fairly low stakes craft mystery woven in. I really enjoyed it.

Aaaaaaaaaaaa I love this book so much! I love the 40- year-old main characters, I love a hot librarian love interest, I love the premise of "I love you but I'm not going to break myself into pieces to fit into your life." So well written, of course.

Evvie Drake Starts Over was one of my favourite discoveries during lockdown. If you’re a romance reader and you haven’t read it yet do yourself a favour. Flying Solo is Holmes’s latest and it’s delightful. Her signature excellent dialogue is on full display as is her ability to conjure a wonderful leading man (a librarian in this case) and lady. She’s great at showing that life has multiple chapters and plot twists and all we can do is care for ourselves and others.
