Managed to read this in one sitting but was the hardest book to do that too. I really did not want to read it but I cannot leave a series unfinished so I am hoping she does not bring out a third book.

The only reason it gets two stars is because after 3/4 of the book, Lilly grows a spine and actually does what she’s supposed to do after a divorce which is setting boundaries because letting her abusive ex husband have a key and free will to let himself in and out of her house isn’t the smartest thing she’s done.
Also omfg what is it with Ellen? I really don’t get it she’s not needed.

The fact this book is hidden as a lovely dovey book is both disturbing and disgusting. It doesn’t push past the fact the first book is all about domestic violence and how many people I know have “idled” it especially young girls.

if you really wanted to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence why are you making a sequel that’s about lovey dovey stuff for anything other than a money grab.

Lilly and atlas story is beautiful with its own story but not with the abuse attached. Long lost lovers that found themselves again would have been perfect on its own but making them go through the many accounts of abuse was not needed for the storyline itself.

Was lucky this book was downloaded on my kindle (before I found out what the author is like) because the mount of times I wanted to lob it across the room was unreal

Finished this book giggling and kicking my feet. I am so glad we got to see Lily with a happy ending, and that she gets to be so loved by Atlas. As I mentioned, I really wrote off these books but I am so glad I was told to read them (thank you destiny). They were easy to read and I felt like they had a lot more depth to them than I was giving them credit for. Who knew I would love a millennial romance book so much, but I am looking for my next Colleen Hoover book as we speak. Would definitely recommend this two-book series if you are looking for something that is emotional in a meaningful way, and has some sweet moments of romance, as well as some big moments in family relations and motherhood (:
