Every time I read this I have to sit and deep breathe for a while. What a gorgeous time for a lesbian to be alive.

Update: sometimes I just sit around and flip through and die about 1) How magnificent this art is 2) how well Korra and Asami’s relationship is getting flushed out and 3) How much I want a wonderful inventor girlfriend.

*REVIEW FOR VOLUMES 1-3:

Powerful yet delicate approaches to LGBTQIA issues (coming out, homophobia, etc), refugee crises (the power/privilege/oppression dynamics at play, who "deserves" to be housed, etc), gentrification / homelessness, peaceful protests vs taking action, and so much more!!

It's really unfortunate that Nickelodeon bans such powerful messages from being shown on TV but I'm so grateful they got to explore these issues and more with an amazing plot in these comics.
