First off, I loved this book. I don't know what it was that drew me in instantly and that made me love this one more than the others (they are all great!).
Again, the story unfolds in only a few days with some glimpses into the main characters' pasts via chapters or some excerpts at the beginning of the chapters - and I have to say some of them broke my heart while others made me laugh out loud.
I do need the entire story of Pavel and Arwen's courtship - especially that night in jail! . But I also loved Theo and Yakov instantly. The focus on the centers and those who had been sent there by the former Councils felt natural here and the reasoning for them only coming up now fit perfectly into the story and did not seem forced at all.
Once again the bears sneakily stole themselves a Psy to enfold them in their clan. It was beautiful to read about all the warmth and love and family/friendship/friend connections and how important those ties are.
I can't wait for the next book because that end!?!!? It definitely has the potential for the overarching plot to throw a huge wrench into saving the Net.
