As a big fan of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels prior to the film, I've known about Lost at Sea for forever but hadn't read it. It's an okay story but I didn't feel like it went anywhere. I can see this being a time capsule for the early 00s, including the use of "r*t*rd" and meeting a person older than you online and then visiting IRL. There is still Bryan Lee O‘Malley‘s signature style and voice, but I guess I prefer the more fantastical plots he'd later make. I was there for the plotline with the cats and if that had been true/actualized, I would have been more interested.
