I really liked the romance here between Barrett and Miles. Miles was sweet and dorky and respectful and I’m learning that I can only do allocishet romances when the guy is like that. I thought him and Barrett had lovely chemistry and their banter wasn’t obnoxious or annoying but felt kind of natural and loving.

I loved that character development was a huge part of the novel for both Barrett and Miles. Barrett is realising her self-worth and processing some trauma related to bullying, while Miles is learning to engage in life without fear. I think it’s super important to me personally to see romances where the people involved have their own things going on outside of the relationship. It makes the overall story much fuller, and the characters involved so much more dynamic.

The time loop underpinning the whole plot was essential to my enjoyment of this book. It is honestly one of my favourite sci-fi tropes. I just love seeing how the same day can produce totally different results, and the characters involved get to take risks and be playfully chaotic. I thought Solomon did a pretty good job with the trope here; it definitely gave the story the direction it needed. I do think certain parts could have been cut out or pruned, because the middle did start to sag with repetitiveness.
Finally, I loved the college setting! Solomon captured the campus vibe really well, especially how that first day of college feels. Reading this has really urged me to seek out more new adult stuff.

So this book was sitting around a 4.25/4.5 stars, but then the ending happened. Without spoiling anything, I believe a large part of it wasn’t necessary, but if Solomon really wanted to include it, it could have been done in a much better way. So I dropped my rating to a four. I did consider dropping it lower but this book is genuinely good and my reasons for disliking the ending in particular are probably down to personal taste.

Oh. My. Gosh. I'm in love with this book. In the words of Nicki Minaj, "No, I don't think you understand...I'm obsessed." I was skeptical at first, I won't lie. A time loop romance is hard to do right. But when it is done right, it's so much fun. I laughed through the whole book, I had moments where I related too much to Barrett, and other moments where I had to shut the book because it was so cute. I had very physical reactions to this book. I loved every minute of it. I have now declared Rachel Lynn Solomon an auto-read author. What she touches turns to gold.

I thought overall this book was a cute, sweet read. I went into it not knowing anything about it, and I am glad I did. It had a fun shocking element that I think otherwise wouldn't have been there. I did think that middle of the way the book got a bit sludgy, and the ending felt really rushed.

There were two main elements of the book that I didn't quite like. First, how once Barrett and Miles got together, it felt so rushed. You're telling me Miles had never even had an official girlfriend, and the first (I guess second) time they kissed they went all the way. That just felt fast. Along with that, afterwards they were all over each other and said they loved each other within days. That element just felt really fast.

The other element I didn't like was the ending. How Barrett figured out that Olmstead was the connection point was quick but honestly didn't bother me much. What did though, was how quickly it went from that, to a big plot point of Miles not remembering, to him remembering again. It seemed weird to have that plot point of him not remember, to very quickly remember again.

Overall it was a fun read and a cute story. I also loved the Jewish details.

Rachel Lynn Solomon the artist you are. She’s a new Auto-buy author for me, I cannot stress ENOUGH how good she is.

Stayed up too late finishing the second half of this last night because I just wanted to see how it ended! I loved the evolving relationship between Barrett and Miles, all the adventures they go on when they're stuck in the time loop. They get to know each other, and in true Rachel Lynn Solomon fashion, the romantic relationship will probably melt your heart.

Also yay for Jewish rep! Barrett and Miles have some great conversations about this as well, and I am here for it. Let's continue pushing for more books like these.

I think my only complaint is that it felt a little long? I understood, for the most part, why we needed the extra time, but I think some of the adventures could have been cut down in the middle. But, that's just my opinion! Still a lovely, wonderful romance I highly recommend.
