Light, fun, with a creative dash of supernatural noir. I look forward to reading the sequels!

Wanted to like this book better than I did.  Loved the premise of “returns.” Liked the Tacoma and 1950’s setting. Appreciated what seemed to be the authors acquaintance with and appreciation of faith. Got tired quickly of Sams use of fake noir detective voices and found the writing sometimes labored and a little stilted like  “tears of joy.”  Would borrow it from the library or read it on loan from a friend but would not recommend purchase.
