Bought in a Humble Bundle. I think this might work better as a webcomic, or just not for me at all. I don't think this'll work for older audiences, but YMMV.

I really wanted to like this one, and I did but...not that much. It's cute. Great Warrior is fun, though not intentionally? She doesn't make jokes, her attitude in situations is irrelevant and funny.

The story is just okay. I like the surprise ending but I'm okay with leaving it there. I couldn't connect at all and feel meh all over.

I do appreciate the representation being there. It doesn't have to have anything to do with the story. After all, do we have to justify putting a white man/woman in the same position? No. It just is. That "but why???" whining is white privilege.

I don't think Flores's work is for me, TBH. I felt the same way about Bee & Puppycat. I didn't realize they were the same author until I went to post this review.

I don't see the connection to Lumberjanes and El Deafo, both of which I love.

Again, sorry. I wish it was different. :/

It's cute, it's super silly and it's quick to read. The only downfall is it feels too short and they could have expanded on it.

SUPER CUTE! Great warrior appeals to everyone with her fun, lazy, and hungry attitude. She seeks to save her villagers while keeping her deepest darkest secret.

This was a really cute book which isn't meant to be insulting at all. It's just sweet and funny and all about being yourself and all that good stuff. Characters are diverse in a refreshing, non hit you over the head way that's thankfully becoming the choice of the best all-ages comics. This is all and all a great choice for tweens.

Super cute to the max! If you enjoy Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and strong rad female characters, then this is a great volume for you. The art is adorable and I loved the goofy charm in this graphic novel. I wish it was longer because it was just so much fun.
