Such a cute story with a wonderful example of how acquiring children are. I love that the author explains the significance of each holiday and shared a recipe that’s often used.

Lovely message in a sweet picture book. We are more alike than we are different.

This book is cute. It came from Junior Library Guild for our education library, and I can see a teacher using it around this time of year (September). It features families who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah and Ramadan, but the details of the holidays aren't part of the story; it's about two families coming together based on the boys becoming friends. It's about similarities, not differences. The back of the book includes information on Rosh Hashanah and Ramadan as well as recipes for the cookies both families bake during the story.
