First and foremost, read the trigger warnings please. Some of the scenes were ROUGH!
Okay, what the hell did I just read? I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
After reading the first book in this series, I was a little worried. I didn’t dislike it, but it felt like something was missing. The extra 50+ pages in this book made all the difference!
This was a very fleshed out story that I could not put down. It’s a quick read that is definitely worth it! There is great pacing and the characters are much more distinct. The triggers are definitely hit on, quite a bit. But if you like very dark books, and all the worst triggers, I highly recommend this series.
After the cliffhanger in the first book, I’m glad I chose to keep reading the series. And after the cliffhanger in this one, I cannot wait for the next book!
I have good and bad things I could say about every character in this book, but honestly…
Fuck Haydes. I had such high hopes for him.
I’m excited to continue Charlotte’s story and hopefully get her HEA. Am I expecting it though? Sadly, not really.
S.J. Ransom is great at defying expectations and keeping me from predicting what’s going to happen. I look forward to reading more of her works in the future!
