I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review.

This year my family decided to completely re-do our garden! Front and back! So these gardening books are coming in very handy. Since we have a little brick patio area, that cannot easily be planted around, we decided to use containers to soften the edges a bit and make it more inviting.
This book is a god-sent. I love the inspiration for both plants and containers.
This book gives you everything you need to successfully plant containers and to make them look amazing. I love that it is not just plants and done with. It guides you through the entire year and makes sure your containers look their best, never mind if spring, summer, fall or winter.

If I could only pick one item from the book as my favourite, it would definitely be that the author gives you ALTERNATIVE SUGGESTIONS to any of the plants it recommends for any particular planter. Maybe your nursery does not have the plant in question, or you are allergic? No problem! Just chose one of the alternatives and presto! You can be sure the container you chose will still look just as gorgeous! Maybe you like the idea behind one of the container plantings, but you don't want to cookie cutter yours? Mix and match between the alternatives and make that baby yours!

Another little thing that made me happy? It's not just flowers! The author gives you suggestions for plants you can use. Herbs and even tomatoes! Squeee! I have a small house and everything has to do double duty, in order to save space. I am glad I can continue with this "theme" in my container gardens as well.

If you have a tiny apartment, or just a very small city garden, go get this book! It will help you make an oasis in the concrete jungle! Maybe you want just a small container for your office? I am totally certain you will find the right inspiration and help for the care of it in this book.
I am very happy to have it in my library!
