In the middle of a re-read and this, for me, is the weakest thus far. Feels like a whisy-washy attempt at building towards what the plot for this next arc is going to be and dropping some of the more interesting character explorations for less interesting things to give New A something to report on. Like Emily struggles with grappling the end of Ali yet it's nearly all forgotten once Isaac enters the picture, and while Hanna's grief for Mona is more prominent and well done, I wish there was more. The adults still primarily suck--feels like there wasn't a lot of an idea for Aria so the plot rehashed Erza in a different way. My biggest issue was feeling like I kept re-reading the same thing over and over again. The same scene with Ali is repeated like a dozen times--more repetitive than any of the flashbacks in the previous books. Although it wasn't a fav, I managed to finish it rather quickly and found myself invested in multiple parts. As someone who already remembers a lot of the ending to this arc, it feels almost too obvious where it's heading and with Ian. Here's to hoping the next is better. And please, can some of these parents/adults start to get better?

This one was probably my favorite one of all! The twists were timed well. I did think the title pretty much somes up what the book is about. The consistent older males creeping on young girls plot point needs to end soon. I was disappointed in Hannah’s actions towards her stepsister although I under the layers to it.

I gotta keep my eye on Ella new boyfriend. I felt like I was waiting for another character to come to an end and I was Happppy that it happened.

Also Mike character never gets better! He is super phobic in every way possible. Emily’s classmates constantly outing her is so messed up that I can’t even describe how upset I was by that! It seems like the males in the books were only talking to Emily to see if she would do something with a girl in their face. What the actual….

While preparing for Ian’s trial, the girls get roped into even more drama/create drama for themselves; Emily realizing she’s bi, Aria kissing her mom’s new boyfriend, Spencer learning she might be adopted, and Hanna dealing with her father’s blatant favoritism towards her stepsister Kate who apparently can do no wrong.

Not to mention “A” is back and is apparently everywhere all at once.
