This is a beautifully drawn book and I’m sure this is a well written story, but this was just too much for me. My brain was skipping over a lot of the story and I finally just decided to DNF.

It took me a few chapters to get into the series, but as things began to take shape, I got drawn in more and more. The art has a cool, complex style to it that looks crisp and beautiful. The world feels deep, and the characters are interesting. I look forward to seeing more.

There is nothing remarkable about the story or the characters. Some of the drawings were stunning but the thing that stood out was that the witch looked like the woman from Bayonetta, Cereza. Never played but that stood out to me.

Don’t know what else to say, pass not going to give the second a chance unless it’s also for free.

It's gorgeous and super cool, but I just have a personal thing where some graphic novels don't work for me and the busy pages make me not focus and take in the story so I just got lost.

Getting back into comics after a big break and this was a great entry point. The worldbuilding is just great - a lot of creepy stuff (in a good way). The characters are pretty cool and the story is really intriguing. Looking forward to the next volume - this has a lot of potential and might become one of my obsessions

I loved this a lot. You’re just thrown right into a whole new world with very little exposition but there’s never a point where it feels overwhelming or confusing. Each chapter ends with a short history lecture from a little cat professor which I love SO much. I think it’s a brilliant way to fill the reader in on any lore that wouldn’t come up naturally in the main story.
The art style is an easy 5 stars. I loved the story too but after just one volume I don’t feel strongly enough about it yet to give it a perfect rating. Will definitely be continuing the series though!
