It’s hard to explain how disappointed I am. There was very little in this that made it worthwhile for a read. I will say that watching Amren and Varian made me so happy
Do you know what? I’ve decided. This book would’ve been 10,000 times better if it had been from amren’s point of you. She’s the only one that likes Nesta so she’s the only one that would’ve actually been interested in putting up with nest of shit throughout this book. When I tell you I want a sex scene between a tiny 5 foot immortal archangel and A tall soft boy prints with a brooding tendency, I mean I want that sex scene yesterday.
She also would’ve been the perfect character to give us a look at how each character is faring after the war. I get that we need to see how everyone’s running things now that things are in disarray, but I did not need chapters upon chapters of emotional bullshit from a Rhysand an Feyre talking about how they decided to have a kid we already knew they were gonna have some day.
On the plus side though, Elaine did one mildly exciting thing! Not enough to redeem the fact that she’s alive, but hey the author has to make her likeable somehow right? Why not start three books in to see if we can get invested
