so what i'm gathering is that john was gaslighting my girl into thinking she was mentally ill when she just needed a long vacation at a seaside cottage? fuck men..!
so creepy. definitely not recommended to read at 3AM when the street lights are dancing across and creating creeping shadows on your own wallpaper.

Shoot man. Rereading this since high school and it's something. Half wish I didn't have the previous memories of discussing this one and what I would have thought. But also having lived through my own postpartum, I definitely felt different things compared to my highschool self.

En visuell variant behövs egentligen inte, eftersom novellen har så starkt (bild)språk) i sig själv, men kanske som present till en ung person, eller någon annan som vill närma sig klassikerna.

Such a nice bit of nostalgia reading this. I too am not in love with the illustrations, but I can't quite put my finger on why exactly. I think they failed to give me the creep factor the story does, so there was a bit of a disconnect.

That was awesome! The pictures Sara drew fit the story so well, it felt like Charlotte drew them herself. I also love how Sara kept all the original lines and did not add anything new.

Perfectly unsettling pictures for a perfectly sound authoress' perspective
