I have little to add about this stunning book that has not already been said. Primo Levi's description of his time in Auschwitz is chilling in it's calmness and objectivity. He is a superb writer and bears faithful witness to the worst crime committed by the human race. I am a poor writer, and for a perfect review of this book I would direct you to this article by Howard Jacobsen, which forms the introduction to the version of the book I read. http://www.theguardian.com/books/2013/apr/05/rereading-if-this-is-man
