I wouldn't want to be the person tasked with penning this story. Talking about drawing the short straw; killing off a fan favorite, especially a character then lends himself to immortality, is going to be criticized, no matter how hard good of a job you do with it.

I appreciated the story and the art, and the ending even sort of works. But I feel like the whole thing was just in a big damn hurry, and Logan certainly deserves better than that. This story line could have easily taken three times as many issues, just fleshing out the different steps on the way to the end, and it wouldn't have felt long at all.

Everyone needs to read it, obviously, but don't set your hopes on the moon or anything.

Really well-written throughout, great art, and effective capturing of both the character and the overall emotion of the storyline. However, it felt like it ended too quickly and the overall collection left me wanting more of an emotional punch - especially for the death of a character this significant. It's good, but it could have been so much more.

Not bad. Could have had more of a bang but at least it did come full circle. I liked it better than the previous story act confusingly named "The last Wolverine story".

Kinda expected a bigger bang at the end, but enjoyed the story nevertheless

A mediocre X-story that decides making Wolverine's death be circular will somehow make it interesting.

The lead-up to this book by Paul Cornell was fairly terrible, but this book only follows the surface of that story, and ignores its equally frustrating details. It makes you wonder why they bothered with the Killable and Three Months To Die storylines if they were just planning on having Charles Soule do this.

The story involves briefly bringing back some of Wolverine's greatest foes, and quickly dispensing with them so that he can move on to the next event. It's neither focused, nor fleshed out. It's pretty much the outline to a story that most writers would have realized isn't good enough to be worthy of The Death Of Mimic, nevermind Wolverine.

Nobody should be forced to red this book. But, as a wordless, alternate universe picture book, it's fun to look at.

4.5 of 5. I wasn't expecting anything close to this good. Wolverine has had some of the worst art and the worst writing, though not always at the same time. So they are finally going to kill Logan off at least for a little while. And this has been happening for quite some time.

What happened was some really pretty awesome art. And a kind of iconic bit of Logan in a bar. The Nuke bit was lame. And there was at least one part in Madripoor where the artist forgot he was short. And some of the plot elements were near misses. But Kitty and Logan in Japan. And no Jubilee anywhere in the book.

And in the end Logan was himself. Not a monster. Not a clown. A killer, but not crazy.

Too bad that no one ever stays dead for long in the Marvel Universe.

Death is never the end in comics and so any series sold of the death of a character is usually something I avoid.

But this is so well made and such a good character piece that I found myself totally absorbed.

I'm sure he'll be back but it was good death, one earned.

Never really was too big on Wolverine, but I did enjoy the starts of the solo title from Paul Cornell. Anyway, this is a different beast itself. There's plenty to pack into four issues and it's nicely done by Soule, but it just doesn't have quite the intended impact. However, it is a poetic ending for Logan.

The art was fantastic but the majority of this book was a let down. From the dialogue to the big reveal. There were several moments where I was disappointed. Still the book had some good moments and again the art really kept this book together. Overall it should be read by wolverine fans but I recommend renting/borrowing this from someone rather then buying it.

Engaging, though a bit anticlimactic. Could've been worse.
