Vol 3 of carnage and violence in fairyland is well and truly back on track. There were moments that made me laugh out loud (indeed never has a characters telephone hold been funnier).
Here's looking forward to Vol 4.

Happy to say that after not really enjoying Vol. 2, Vol. 3 was enjoyable for me! I'm looking forward to seeing how the series wraps up in the final installment.

I have waited so long for this!
OK, only sorta long, but I was still excited to get my hands on this volume, and I was not disappointing. Gert's continued efforts to return home take a new direction as she tries - and fails in true Gert style - to be a good girl. The humor is strong, the violence is comically gruesome, and the fantasy references continue to delight. There are a few moments that lean more toward the uncomfortable than the humorous, but Gert's and Larry's journey continues to amuse as they encounter new characters and old... friends. Gert wants to get back home, but will Fairyland ever be free of their most-feared menace? It's difficult to say.

I'm actually starting to dig it! I like how Gertrude did something different for once and the Larry chapter was sort of ok. B for the effort or something.
