I was so excited for this book as I use Sara and Kate's recipes regularly and follow their blog religiously. I also was intrigued about the healthier focus of this cookbook. This is a softbound book, whereas their first two were spiral bound and hardback, so this book doesn't lay open as nicely, but the set up is very similar, with a nice large and beautiful picture for every recipe. The book is separated into categories (appetizers, snacks, beef, etc.); however, there are no distinct separate sections. Instead, just a little notation at the top of each page indicating which section it belongs in. So, I started the book out looking at Breakfast Anytime and then turned the page and wondered why I was looking at a Soup. Each recipe lists a Nutrition section, with the key points you might want to know - calories, carbs, sugars, fat, fiber, and protein, for example. There are also plenty of tips (cooking, shopping, preparation, author's notes, alternatives, etc.). Each recipe also lists their signature Rollover Ingredients. There is also a coordinating rollover index at the back, like their other cookbooks. I will admit that while perusing this cookbook, less recipes jumped out at me as appetizing than their previous books that I knew right away that I HAD to try. However, that said, there are still great-sounding recipes, some already featured on their blog and some new ones, that I'm definitely going to try. We have already tried the oven-baked apple chips and they're fabulous! Definitely need to make those again! Overall, I think I still like their first two books the best, but this is a great, healthier addition to my cookbook library!
