1st of all the underground man is pathetic how do some of you guys go like ohh he's so relatable as if it's some kind of achievement, it simply means that you are pathetic and pretentious and egomaniac just like them, nothing to be proud of.
Also it's okay to hate a character and completely love the book, you don't have to love the character to love the book.

Coming to the writing, this was one of the best books i have read. This is my 1st book by Dostoevsky and so i wasn't expecting anything less and yess i was not disappointed. I haven't read a lot of philosophical literature so i don't think i can write a review right now regarding that part but nevertheless this book is a must read.

I love Dostoyevsky’s writing but I feel like I’m missing out by the being a response to another novel (which I haven’t read). There are some lovely quotes and the style is exactly my cup of tea but I am slightly (majorly) confused and may need a couple days to process
