This is an utterly adorable, bright, heart-warming story about a young girl and her community. I loved how our narrator, Punky Aloha, talks directly to the reader; that was an excellent choice and makes the book all the more fun for it.

Cute children's book! Would read this one at a story time, great way to teach kids how to be helpful, giving, and brave! The different elements of Hawaiian culture were also great, it made Tuiasoa's self come through in the story! Would have liked a little more explanation in the end after she got back to her grandma to close out the story!

I really enjoyed this story. It had great illustrations and a wonderful message. Also, I loved the relationship between Punky and her grandma.
