Kevin stepping on court left-handed and with a new tattoo? Satisfaction. Andrew taking Exy seriously? Satisfaction. Foxes winning the NCAA championship? Satisfaction. Riko's arm broken? Satisfaction. I could go on and on about how exponentially the writing has improved, the beauty of circular endings, intricate and well-developed characters and such, but we're gonna be here for a super long time, then.

Okay so I'm finally giving this a proper score after not being able to even give a rating for the previous books in the series. That doesn't mean I quite know how to feel about this one either though lol

I think that, despite spending my first fanfiction-reader-years on Wattpad, this series is a little too extreme for my taste. This series' way of always choosing violence and snarky comments over every other possible strat made me nearly lose my mind and caused almost all of my journal entries to be in all caps including words like "WHY" and "WTF". 

Every single character got under my skin and on my nerves and every single time they earned a positive point on my scoreboard, I had to take it off because of some othet stupid shit they pulled. Andrew and Neil's relationship especially made me question why they kept hanging around each other and had me feel absolutely NOTHING. 😭

I feel like it says a lot that in this sports-mafia-drama with LGBTQIA+ rep, I (who usually has a negative amount of interest in sports) enjoyed the descriptions of the Foxes' games the most. (Also the TROJANS !!! Absolutely lovely! We meet them for like ~a minute~ but damn they might have saved my entire experience with this book lol)

One thing that I have to give Nora though, is that she has the balls to kill off any character without blinking an eye, or hesitating. I can sleep well at night knowing I will never be able to put any of my OCs through the absolutely insane hell that she does to hers. So, um, thanks for that, Nora lol
