God, I was so not ready for these books. I thought I'd skim them to know what all the fuss is about… Now I'm stuck in one of my worst book hangovers yet.
I really really loved these characters! Their relationships and personalities were so layered and complex (and in a YA book??). Uff, and the way Neil and Andrew tore my heart out... They felt so special to me, as their own people and in their very unique relationship. I love the grumpy, murderous, and cynical couple they are. And the silent communication just got me for some reason, god I really really really love them!
Within less than a week I've gone from skepticism and amusement to an inability to think about anything else, being absolutely besotted with these characters and one hundred percent understanding the immeasurable love this fandom has for aftg even so many years after publication.
Did I mention that I really really really loved this/them???

Wow. I have to give this 5 stars for the emotion and the ending. Loved how this wrapped up.
I think I made a mistake listening to the audio for the first two. I'd really reccomend reading this - I feel the narrator dampens a lot of the emotion in this. I think the added relationship in here also got me, but all the references to the foxes being Neil's family - that really got me.
Really enjoyed this one.

I cannot believe that a book about violent lacrosse made me this invested. I have not read a book, which made me feel this many emotions and got me to love the characters this much, in a long time, maybe ever.
*screaming, throwing up, kicking my feet* I'm so proud of them
