A very short story, more of exposition of a often overlooked (with the flow of the plot taking the limelight away from them) but much loved (yes, it's Maximus) charator.
Not much happens, but it's funny and gave me a bit of a chuckle.

The Temeraire in this short story doesn't feel quite like the one from the first book. Perhaps it is the change in the POV? It was quick and cute either way.

Kind of confused as to the point of this, but at this point I'm desperate to read anything Novik has ridden. I spend 2 hours online yesterday trying to figure out if she has any current projects and couldn't find anything so I'm in a mild panic.

An amusing extra in which Temeraire and Maximus get into a bit of mischief one morning when the herders have slept past breakfast, and the two dragons are not content to wait.
