I liked that it didn't focus on purely christmas but other holiday traditions. Ya yay for festive spirit. I loved It's a Yuletide Christmas, Charlie Brown and Welcome to Christmas, CA most of all but Midnights was fantastic too.

Boy, did this anthology take me a long time to read. I’m really happy I managed to get through it before February, since the stories were all Christmas or holiday themed.

I don’t think it’s fair to rate the anthology as a whole, so here are my ratings for each individual story:

Midnights - Rainbow Rowell: 5 ☆
The Lady and the Fox - Kelly Link: 2.5 ☆
Angels in the snow - Matt de la Peña: 3.5 ☆
Polaris is where you’ll fine me - Jenny Han: 4 ☆
It’s a Yuletide miracle, Charlie Brown - Stephanie Perkins: 5 ☆
Your temporary Santa - David Levithan: 3 ☆
Krampuslauf - Holly Black: 4 ☆
What the hell have you done Sophie Roth - Gayle Forman: 5 ☆
Beer buckets and baby Jesus - Myra McEntire: 5 ☆
Welcome to Christmas, CA - Kiersten White: 5 ☆
Star of Bethlehem - Ally Carter: 5 ☆
The girl who woke the Dreamer - Laini Taylor: 4 ☆

My least favourite one was The Lady and the Fox by Kelly Link. I hardly understood anything, but the writing wasn’t bad and the pace was good which is why it got a 2.5/5

I adored a majority of the stories, only 4 of them didn’t get the perfect 5/5 rating, so I would definitely recommend this anthology if you’re looking for cute Christmassy romances that are easy to read.

This is a great selection of holiday romances. I particularly enjoyed Rainbow Rowell's short story. Definitely perfect for winter!

Some of these YA short stories were great (like Kelly Link's, one of my favorite authors, and Rainbow Rowell's). Some were ... not. For a genre that has a reputation for being inclusive and progressive, there were a whole lot of stereotypes.

Some of the stories I’d give a 4/5 star ... but a few dragged. It’s so hard rating books like these. Some stories I loved and some stories were a miss for me. I did enjoy reading them. A good read during the holidays season, just don’t expect too much.

Overall a very enjoyable winter/holiday anthology. I am very fond of holiday stories (and movies), so I was looking forward to this book once it was recommended (thanks Kati!). As with all anthologies, some stories I liked, some I loved and a few that I didn't enjoy as much. Fortunately, even those that I wasn't overly fond of were still somewhat enjoyable and since this is a collection of short stories - over quickly.

My favorites: What The Hell Have You Done, Sophie Roth?, Angels in the Snow, and It's a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown.

Un libro diferente, con 12 historias cortas invernales y navideñas de amor ❤️
No todas las historias me encantaron, pero las de Gayle Forman y Kiersten White se llevan el premio mayor

I am see I am in a minority of one but this is simply so much dross packaged as authors who you know and love writing short stories. The majority have no real structure no finite ending and require the reader to fill in the blanks. It sells books but not reading pleasure

It has such amazing stories, so different ones to anothers, it's really diverse and loving.
You'll enjoy it.
