My first Shaun Tan!
Three Shaun Tan books arrived at my library and I thought I could quickly read this one. Beautiful illustrations, office life incredibly bleak and labyrinthine. Was reminded of a lot of ESL friends. Also inspired me to look a little more into Tan's history and work, was very rewarding to learn about his influences. Although not as horror in nature, it did remind me a little of The Watertower by Gary Crew and Tan worked with Crew early in his career!
Would recommend this and will be checking out Tan's other work.

Not sure why this book is considered for YA audience. Anyway, I loved it and laughed out loud at the ending.
