Rebecca Yarros does it AGAIN. I can never get enough of her books and Beyond What is Given is way up there for me!! The love story was like no other. I really liked how it shows that love, as amazing as it is, can be messy, difficult, even confusing. Grayson and Sam’s story was so very hopeful and inspiring, not only displaying a powerful love but showing that you have the strength to live on no matter what life throws your way. Sam is fiery, kind, compassionate, and resilient. Grayson is quiet, strong, selfless, and thoughtful. Neither of them are perfect, but they embrace each other fully, flaws and all. This book is so much more than just a romance and I’m absolutely obsessed with it. Ugh my heart is so full just thinking about it!! I’ll definitely hold this book near and dear to my heart.

the journey that Samantha and Grayson take to find their happy is one full of ups, downs, angst, steam and frustration. there were a couple times that the story dragged a bit, but overall it had me invested and loving it. I found the situation with Grayson's family so frustrating at times. they were incredibly cruel and unfair to him and I wanted a bigger conversation their. but I loved the was Samantha handled her issues with school in the end. She is such a strong FMC and I loved her. Both narrators were perfectly cast and really brought their characters to life.
