I just really hate what they do to Angel in this plot. I don't even mind the Archangel stuff, I just really hate how it morphs into Apocalypse. Also, I found it a little bit confusing when they start jumping timelines, and I can't keep track of who is from the main timeline and who is from the other one.
But I really like Fantomex, and Betsy is growing on me.

The art is completely inconsistent and I'm just not into Rick Remender's version of the Age of Apocalypse.

Alright but these are really nice. The issue #9 is true example how a picture speaks a thousand words and how you can have a very powerful storytelling without many speech bubbles. The comics are very nicely drawn, the style fits the gloominess of the story, and the guy who did covers did a truly amazing job (i especially liked #12). I understand now what people mean when they say how good this series is. I only picked it up because of Deadpool and, as it turns out, it's not all about Deadpool. I don't mind this, because it gave me insight into some other characters, especially Fantomex and Psylocke who I wasn't really fond of until now.

I read this as a reward for getting the bulk of my research paper done. I'm not sure if it was the comic itself, or the fact that I was using it as a destresser, but this was a good, quick read. I liked the story line, and I eagerly await the next book in the series.

Celestial gardeners? Life seeds? I have no idea what is going on here and have no desire to find out.
