Read it cover to cover, bawled at the ending, then confessed feelings to a friend.

A fanciful middle grade novel exploring identity, family, relationships, school, trust, regret, and acceptance. Wonderfully and somewhat discreetly queer. David’s story was so engaging, complete with plenty of morals for middle grade kids and everyone. I loved it! It had excellent pacing and characters that made it difficult to set down.
