This started off good, sort of a cross between the television show LOST and the old sci fi movie LOGAN'S RUN. Once the explanations started coming though they were so far fetched that the rest of the book was disappointing.

I never reached a point of interest with this book where I couldn't set it down, but I also never fully lost interest in it. The premise of the book itself it unpredictable, but the predictability of the characters removed a lot of my enthusiasm. All in all this was a good book to kill some time with, but I never felt fully captivated. I think that's more a matter of personal preference as opposed to actual quality of the book. I recommend giving it a chance if you're on the fence about it.

Four stars for the fast pace, and the first half of the book, where everything was mysterious. Once they figured out what was going on the plot seemed a little thin. But a good quick read.

This was an enjoyable book, but several times I found myself skimming either scientific talk or overly detailed battle-type scenes.

Even though the novel was rather short it had sever pacing issues. Way too long lead up, way too short 'mystery', it was solved as soon as it was introduced and the last third of the book was just pointless.
I liked the idea of the story but not the execution. Would not recommend.
Mr. Riddle's newer books are far superior.

Really liked the beginning with the crash and Nick&Harper. Got really confused and bored in the middle/ending. 2- maybe 3 stars.
