Better than the first but still not very good.

This was really good BUT it felt quite dragged out near the end.

I'll still read the next one at some point.

THIS book was really disappointing! I loved the story in The Knife of Never Letting Go and think Patrick Ness is an incredibly clever author but this book was a let down. A lot of the book goes in circles and I found myself disliking Todd and Voila more and more with each turn of the page. They were such children and unlike in the first book, they act like it. They are impulsive and reckless, often acting without thinking in a way that is detrimental to their cause. They continuously protest when adults tell them what to do but (you guessed it!) the adults always turn out to be right. I found this book difficult to get into and about halfway through, I was hating it. It picks up though and the ending has made me quite eager to read the next installment- I think I should wait a while though and let my annoyance fizzle out before continuing.
