This is a story following the lives of two women, Charlene and Raven Shaw; woven together by blood, but separated and haunted by circumstance, the dark inner secrets, personal struggles, concealed demons and uncovered skeletons that taunt them and tore them apart.

Dunlap does a wonderful job of integrating drama, suspense, history, with a touch of romance while interweaving the effects of irresolute, psychological and emotional upheaval that creates turmoil within. You will become deeply involved with the lives of the Shaw family with each turned page. The end will leave you expectant and desiring more. I look forward to reading more from this prolific writer. I was pleasantly surprised of the multi-layered suspense and drama derived from the plot. Great read and definitely NOT your typical, cliché urban fiction novel.
