This one dragged more than the others in the series but not in a bad way it just took longer to get interesting. Loved the ending sequence and seeing Slade going mental to try and protect Auren. She’s gone through the rip so it’ll be really interesting having our two fae work to find each other again. (I didn’t read the epilogue because I didn’t want to ending to drive me insane). The cliffhanger wasn’t awful as is which is nice. Cant wait to read the finale!

This book is the perfect example of a book not needing 800 plot points to be an amazing, addicting read. It’s simple, character driven, and incredible. I loved seeing Auren’s character growth and learning more about everyone’s past - I can’t wait for the next book!

I’m not sure if the last few exciting chapters can make up for 2/3 of the book where nothing really happens. Loved Slade’s story but I felt like the book dragged, found myself skipping the smut parts just to get to the damn ending.

The amount of times I mentally advised Auren to “kill them all” is alarming. This book made me into the Queen of hearts lol “off with their heads!” I stand by my words in the previous book. Everyone apart from fourth kingdom SUCKS. This book stoked hatred and loathing with every page that such unbridled injustice prevailed. The finale, Gold, is sure to be epic.
