I just love how cool magic is used within this series. It is unique and fun! Her magical power is bread! That is so cool. And she works as a baker!

I love the narration style. It has captured teenage girl perfectly.
I just love who she is constantly trying to get back to her normal life. I would if I ended up in a situation like this.

I would like to warn people who were recommended this book because it's funny/fun. It's a bit like Percy Jackson, it has funny moments but if you think too hard about what these young main characters are going through, it gets very very depressing.
To be honest this book is kinda written like the play, Carbaret, a depressing yet entertaining take on a genocide. I can't think of a better way to accurately describe this book.

"A weird little anti-establishment book with carnivorous sourdough and armies of dead horses" was just what I needed, thanks.
