4 stars! overall I enjoyed this- I think at one point 40% in I was a little lost because of all the characters and their stories while I was listening to the audio but then everything 50% and farther was really good! it gives the vibe of white lotus which I liked a lot so I’m definitely going to read more of Elin - it was a great summer read!
(only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the long chapters lol)

Light, fluffy and quick kind of read. I found the ghost POV a bit cheap at first but grew to enjoy it. By the end I was thoroughly invested in all of the characters and keeping the crew together. Perfect read to end summer with.

"The Hotel Nantucket" by Erin Hilderbrand offers a classic summer read that transports readers to the shores of Nantucket. The story introduces a range of characters that might feel overwhelming at first, but gradually, they grow on you, becoming the heart of the narrative.
The inclusion of supernatural elements, like ghosts, adds a touch of sentimentality that some might find cheesy but ultimately contributes to the overall warmth of the story. While attempts at mystery might not hit the mark entirely, the enigmatic character Alessandra stands out as an interesting puzzle.
What sets this book apart is its departure from the typical romance plot. Instead of revisiting old relationships, the characters explore new paths, lending the story a refreshing twist. Hilderbrand's writing brings Nantucket to life, painting a vivid picture of the island's ambiance.
In the end, "The Hotel Nantucket" offers a comfortable and engaging read that captures the essence of summer escapism, leaving readers with a yearning to experience the charm of Nantucket for themselves.
