ok so i was really disappointed, i thought this was going to be a lot better than it actually was. The story seemed short but also seemed to stretch on because i got bored of it easily. I read around 40% in one day and then the story just went downhill, i felt like nothing actually relevant to the plot was happening and the author was just making excuses to add ANOTHER villain into the story, they faced several people but they defeated them way to easily or nearly escaped death, but it all seemed so convenient i knew they weren't going to die. I felt like most of the book was just extra stuff so that their quest wouldn't seem so short. I also didn't think that Jason was a very well developed character, for Leo and Piper it showed what happened and maybe that was because Jason had amnesia but i still felt as if he could have been more developed. I also thought Annabeth was in it just so people could recognise her from PJO, there was no reason for her character to be in it. The story felt a bit rushed and like there wasn't a plot. Hopefully this is just because it is the first book in the series. Although i did like the very end of the story as it hinted that the story would get more interesting, overall though i was really disappointed.

3.5! perhaps I'm too stuck into Percy Jackson, but I sure missed this world! Piper is a new fave definitely!
