Seriously, though. This was brilliant. I'm an atheist that likes to read biblical retellings (as long as they aren't hyper-christian). Gauld definitely has a knack for evoking emotion using an incredible simple medium. The art in this illustrated novel is simple and almost childlike, which I think makes Goliath all the more endearing. Poor thing.

This was so wholesome! I love Tom Gauld's graphic novels and this was no exception. Such a fun take on the David & Goliath story, with an interesting comment on war. The ending was so blunt and morose I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry - in classic Tom Gauld style.
