Another five star read in this series! I absolutely fell fully in love with this world and the characters in it-and I even got on board with Sam! The affinity that started with the last book was even stronger in this installment, and the drama was in high gear. This book definitely landed that plane that the last book set up so meticulously.

Because I loved everything so thoroughly, I was wanting more character development and backstory, it hardly detracted from my enjoyment of this story, or the FIVE stars I awarded it!

This book was a perfect mix of fantasy, characters, plot, and world. I love when the author has a firm grip on the world and characters they've created, and this story absolutely had that in spades. There seems to be 2 additional books in this "trilogy," and I'm as excited as ever for them!

I recommend this book to fans of fantasy, or those who have read previous books in this series-but if you haven't yet read this series, I wouldn't start with this book-you'll get so much more out of this story if you have the background of the first two books!

WOW!!! This series got better with each book, and the first one was a 5 star rating from me. I wanted this to go on and on and on.

Great great great story!

Tim Curry does the narration for the entire series audiobook. Let that sink in for a moment. Tim...FREAKING...Curry. So a terrific story made even terrificer*...by a greatly voiced actor.

* I know that terrificer is not a word. But it should be.

Finished in a day, in one sitting immediatly after finishing Lirael. Honestly I think the best way to experience it, as one completle story rather than 2 separate ones like. Still really really good though!!!!
