Maybe I'm biased because I've been a fan of WTNV for about half of my life, but Finknor outdid themselves with the formatting here. And the illustrations are gorgeous!

Do you often feel existential dread at the thought of our insignificant lives? Do you feel? Existential? Does it matter? Strex. Welcome to Night Vale, a small desert community where every conspiracy theory is true. WTNV is my favorite podcast of all time, so for me this volume of the scripts from the first year of episodes is a great reference to look back on past episodes and some of my favorite quotes. Also, Jessica Hayworth is an insane illustrator! Seriously, this series is everything, and if you don’t like listening to podcasts (go see a doctor) and pick up the book version. You will regret it. But we are all made of regrets in the end. Goodnight, Night Vale. Goodnight.

It was nice to revisit the first year of episodes of Night Vale, and while I don't recommend reading them over listening to them this book had some cool extras that are worth checking out.

Reading this was wonderful. I have been a fan of the podcast for a few years and revisiting it in written form (especially for someone who struggles to absorb auditory information) was a real treat. Whether you've been meaning to check out Night Vale or have been a fan since the start I highly recommend this.

A desert city that is both terrifying and charming, Night Vale's residents somehow make sense of the surreal and horrifying to make a living, one day at a time. If time even exists (it doesn't).

I could hear Cecil’s voice while reading which made it a lot more fun to read. Probably a higher score than it should be but I’m biased and this got me to listen to the podcast again so I’ll take it
