4.25 ⭐️ This was haunting and brilliant. Gave me the chills. Such a fan of Madeline Miller’s writing and her retellings. Better than a 4 star read but as it is a short story, I couldn’t quite give it 5 stars.

Interesting story, just didn’t develop enough of a plot for me in the short content.

This is a short story that packs a punch. Also, please read the acknowledgments from the author.

That is the mark of a good source myth; it is water so wide it can reach across centuries.

I really enjoyed listening to this, I would even say it felt sort of perfect in many ways. Miller's retelling of myth is always fascinating to me and my lack of loads of knowledge for this particular one almost made it easier to read without thinking of what could be done differently.
