Too much was happening in this volume of Sandman. I hated Lyta Hall and the Furies and Dream, emo as always. The story was confusing and I didn't feel moved by Dream's death. Womp womp.

This is the second time I have read The Kindly Ones, and realized how much I missed the first time I read it. (In fairness, the last time I read it was when the comics were being printed, so it took over a year for me to read it.)

It was such a satisfying conclusion to everything, bring all the loose threads together. (Though there might be a few more to wrap up in the next and final book.)

This one is difficult for me to rate. It is by far the longest book in the series and it took me a while to get through. I enjoyed the story, but things bounced around a lot and that made it such that I had a tough time keeping track of everything that happened.
