rhythrin's review against another edition
DNF-ed. I really wanted to love this, but the information in this book is too dense for me to grasp since I've only read one other Pratchett before this one. I will likely read the books in order instead and return to this book when I'm able to understand its context better!

Pratchett parodies the News and it’s, of course, hilarious! What is the news? What is the truth? Who can tell it? And who believes it? All these are questions TP explores in this volume of the Discworld. It’s honestly hilarious. I really like our main character William de Worde as well as Otto the vampire. There are fun cameos by other favourites as well. A truly fun Discworld installment!

It's Terry Pratchett, what more is there to say. I'm personally a city watch girlie, but the post office books are high on my list too.
Worth saying that the Discworld novels, for me, are fundamentally light reads.

Discworld at its finest.
The new characters introduced are all fantastic, William is instantly lovable, and Sacharrisa and Otto are fantastic counterparts.
The villains of the book are again fantastic. Mr Tulip is an exceptional henchman.
Major bonus points for the inclusion of characters from The Watch, which is my favourite series in Discworld, along with my favourite characters.
Sir TP dives deep into the world of news journalism here, obviously with great knowledge from his past of working in the industry. The book asks many important questions such as who is the news for? What is news? Does the news actually help people? Who does/should control the news?
Absolutely 5 stars from me, and highly recommended. Up there with the best of Discworld.
