3 stars. Cute, but I definitely prefer the first book by a long shot. This one was okay. It's a quick read but it just didn't give me the same feelings as book one and I wasn't as invested in the characters this time around. It's perfect for this time of year though because it definitely has a lot of charm and holiday spirit to it, I just wanted it to be a bit more interesting and for the characters to have more to them.

Typical Hallmark romance. Cozy, predictable and fun to read.

Evergreen is definitely a magical place! Cute story. This book is based on a Hallmark Channel original movie.

description

I had the strongest sense of déjà vu when I began reading Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa by Nancy Naigle. The sense was so strong that I could even picture it in my mind. I knew this wasn’t possible because this was an ARC (advanced reader copy), which meant there wasn’t any way I’d read it before. And, that’s pretty much when I decided to look deeper into the situation.

My copy didn’t have the cover you see above. It wasn’t until I went to the blurb on Goodreads that I discovered that this book had been based on a movie that I had seen the previous Christmas. Ta da! Not déjà vu, but ditz-a-roo (yes, I made up that word).

Sweet story to read, I like Hallmark movies, so this book is based on a movie, I must say I haven't been able to watch the movie yet, but the story is about bringing couples together and having them redeem and heal their past. Great holiday read for this Christmas, a nice HEA for everyone.

Such a cute follow up story to Christmas in Evergreen. I have not seen the movie, I am hoping it plays this Christmas so I can see it come to life!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

Christmas In Evergreen: Letters to Santa is a really sweet Christmas book (and movie) that captures the spirit of Christmas. It might be a bit predictable at times, but it's a heartwarming read nontheless.

I had not seen the movies but reading this series and listening to the audiobook was a wonderful edition to my December reads. There was just enough romance and tons of Christmas magic to get you in the spirit.
From what I understand, the books and the movies are identical, just so you know going into either.

This was really cute. I did like the first one better, but this was still an enjoyable Christmas read. I do think the love interest(Kevin? I forgot lol) was a little annoying because he would just jump to conclusions and then not talk to Lisa(?) and just run off. Other than that it was a fun and cute read.
