I was trying not to read this until I’d finished all of Maya Angelou’s autobiographies, but I still cannot find ‘A Song Flung Up to Heaven’ after searching for a year, so 🥲
This was JUST what I needed though. I have no scope for long stories at the moment and these short essays/letters were simply delightful. Angelou led the most exciting life, with such lovely leads (e.g. her family) and it is evident that although she never had a daughter, she took care of so many wonderful women (and they took care of her too, addressed in the acknowledgements) ❤️
I’m such a fan. 4 out of 5 stars for me, thank you ✨
